We know what
it's like to
be told no.

In their twenties, Matt and Kelly had a hard time getting financing for their own log home. So when they started Lakeland in 2000, they decided to run the business differently than they'd been treated — free estimates, straight answers, and a plan built around the homeowner instead of a mass-produced package.

Twenty-five years and more than fifty homes later, that's still the whole business: log homes, timber frame and post & beam construction, insulated log systems, SIP walls, precast concrete basements, and a full custom sawmill for the details a catalog plan can't give you.

Custom sawing, mantels, shelves, stairs, railings, trusses and pergolas — milled to order, not off a shelf.

Want to finish it yourself? We'll build the shell with instruction, or hand off the plans and materials outright.
